I bring here the 4 main tips for a better planning of your trip:
- Season of the year: we have 4 different Swiss, did you know? During the four seasons you will experience the country differently, landscapes and activities vary. So: define which Switzerland you want to experience first. Yes, because you will come back and then you can choose another season to enjoy.
- Travel time: Switzerland is small, but offers a large number of activities at its destinations. Add more days to what you have planned. No matter if 5, 6 or 10, you won’t regret it. Considering this if it is not possible to stay longer, narrow down the region you want to visit and explore as much as possible.
- Style: do you like sports, enjoy more radical activities, love a gastronomic tour, just want a spa period, combine culture and leisure? You can direct your trip only according to the activities you want. Because of the size of the country, you can combine two, or more.
- Budget: It is not always possible to travel around Switzerland on a luxury budget, but that does not mean that you cannot enjoy the country. There are numerous ways to access art (in the streets), nature (in and around the cities, rivers, lakes, woods), culture (festivals and street parties with free admission in summer/autumn), and food (in good supermarket chains). When it comes to accommodation, we have good hotels with 3* categories and thematic hostels (even in castles), and well located, throughout the country with possibilities to book private rooms. And the commute, in many cases the Swiss Travel Pass is still the best travel pass, you get the scenery from the train window.
These are 4 points to organize before your trip, what do you think? What other point would you add?
