In order to visit different places, we traveled around the city on foot, by public transport and, if necessary, with private transfers. You decide whether you want to spend more time in specific places and learn more or whether you prefer to have an overview of the whole city.
In any case, we’ll show you some insider tips that you can explore individually. There are countless squares, restaurants, stores and beautiful viewpoints. These include the imposing railway station building at Zurich Main Station, the university quarter, the picturesque Lindenhof and churches from different eras, as well as the narrow alleys of the Old Town and the shores of picturesque Lake Zurich. On a clear day, you can even see the snow-capped mountains! Depending on whether you’re spending several days in the city or just a short time here, we’ll adapt the program accordingly.
How does the tour work?
We will meet at a location of your choice: in the lobby of your hotel in Zurich, at the meeting point at the train station if you are traveling with the Swiss Travel Pass and arriving from another city, or at the airport if you have a day available in transit that you would like to use for an excursion to Zurich.
During the tour, we will take you to selected places about which we know the history and interesting facts. Depending on your stamina, the weather and any participants in the group who need extra rest (the elderly or children), we will adapt the route and plan a coffee or snack with local dishes. The important thing is that you are comfortable and that you enjoy the day.
The tour ends at the location of your choice. The route usually ends at a restaurant that we can recommend for dinner. For groups of 4 people or more, it is usually necessary to book in advance. We’ll help you with that and, if you wish, we’ll help you choose the right cuisine.
