Switzerland is unfortunately not a benchmark when it comes to women’s rights and was one of the last countries in Europe to win women’s suffrage. Pasts that blend into our present. Questions and curiosities from the lives of women who have touched the history of the city, just as you and I do today, each in our own way.
In this meeting, you will walk through the narrow streets of the historic center of Switzerland’s largest urban center:
- Hear amazing stories of women from the Middle Ages to the present day
- Learn more about Katharina von Zimmern, Jovita dos Santos, Emilie Lieberher and many others
- Learn about the career of Iris von Rote, one of Switzerland’s leading activists and feminists
Given the interest in sharing impressions, after the tour is over we will continue the exchange in a nearby bar/café. Post-tour participation is optional and the price does not include consumption. Please confirm your availability at the time of registration and we’ll make a reservation counting on your participation.
We’re talking about Female Personalities, but the tour is open to anyone interested in hearing and sharing about the subject.
