A visit to the Jungfraujoch, also known as the “Top of Europe” because of the highest railway station in the mountains of Europe, is a highlight of any trip to Switzerland, or even Europe. It can be visited from most cities in Switzerland in one day. The trip is preferably made by train and, with our guide, you will also get to know the surrounding region.
For the train ride up the mountain, the stay at the highest point of the trip and the return trip, we calculate 3 to 5 hours, including the stay in Grindelwald, possibly Wengen and Interlaken, the entire excursion takes 8 to 12 hours with enough time for breaks, depending on the length of the trip.
Jungfraujoch all year round
An excursion to the Jungfraujoch is an experience at any time of year: in summer, you can see snow even in summer temperatures. On sunny days, temperatures can reach up to 10 degrees at the top of the mountain. In spring and autumn, depending on the weather, there can also be fresh snow at the lower altitudes, and in winter you can immerse yourself in a breathtaking snowscape, where the snow walls around the railway line and the terminal can accumulate several meters high.
